Yoga therapy is gaining more attention within the wellness community. 

In this emerging practice there is renewed emphasis on the specific health benefits associated with specific yoga postures.  Many practitioners have already experienced the benefits of yoga as a primary regimen for common conditions such as allergies, stress management, and insomnia.  However yoga can also be a very effective complementary therapy for more serious health issues like Asthma, Arthritis, or even Cancer and Multiple Sclerosis.

 

A yoga therapy session begins with a private consultation to assess health issues, level of athleticism, level of yoga proficiency, and any limitations (injuries, recent surgeries, range of motion, etc). A personalized yoga

routine is then designed to target specific health benefits for a client. 

This is enabled by access to a database cataloguing hundreds of yoga postures along with their associated health benefits, athletic benefits, and contraindications.  A follow-up, instructional session is then scheduled to provide one-on-one guidance in the conduct of the personalized routine.  Finally, the client is provided with an instructional booklet complete with photos and a detailed description of the routine that has been designed exclusively for them.  This facilitates regular practice (any time, anywhere) 

to achieve the desired health benefits.
