Class Descriptions
Budokon*: The Budokon practice draws
from yoga, martial arts and meditation to create a powerful,
mindful practice.
Community ($5) Yin*: This class was created to encourage those new to yoga or on a budget
to enjoy the benefits of the practice.
Family Laughter
Yoga*:
A mix of gentle yoga stretches, laughter and yogic
breath work . Boost your immune system, reduce stress, increase your
bodies "happy chemistries" and much much more. Adults and Children 5
and up welcome.
Flow**:
Upbeat movements from Sun Salutations to balancing poses, inversions
to savasana interlinking the breath with movement.
Kids Yoga*: for kids ages
5-10.
Each week a new theme is explored encouraging wisdom
through movement, breath and imagination!
This class is an
opportunity for kids to improve coordination & motor skills, increase focus,
concentration & balance, build self-confidence, cultivate body
awareness, develop self discipline, appreciate their individual
uniqueness, be creative & express themselves.
Meditation*:
Light stretching, gentle movements, and simple awareness techniques
designed to quiet the mind and relax the body.
Nia*:
A unique and fun blend of dance, yoga and martial arts.
Power**:
Up-tempo class with
basic to intermediate postures; aerobic and challenging.
Prenatal Yoga*:
Learn
postures, breathing techniques and meditation exercises to
assist with labor and delivery; Increase your
strength, stamina and flexibility; Reduce stress,
anxiety and fatigue; Relieve back
pain, sciatica, insomnia, heartburn and headaches; Gain a greater
connection with yourself, your baby and other expecting mothers.
Qigong*:
Qigong (pronounced "chee-gung") is an ancient Chinese system of
postures, exercises, breathing techniques, and meditations. Suitable
for people of all ages and abilities.
Restorative*:
Relax and rejuvenate in this class dedicated to nurturing your
body. Move deeply into your body with gentle, supported poses held
for longer periods of time.
Yin/Yang Flow*:
Yang
postures, from basic to advanced, will heat the body and build
strength, while yin poses provide a meditative experience and an
opportunity for deeper stretching and tension release.
Yoga and Body Rolling*:
An eclectic practice blending yoga, foot fitness and Yamuna Body
Rolling. Body Rolling is a potent healing system that
elongates muscles, develops core strength, stimulates bone tissue,
and promotes profound healing by creating inner space and alignment.
Balls provided or bring your own.
Yin*:
Mellow, meditative practice with deeply held possess to release
tension and stiffness in your back, hips, shoulders and legs.
*Good for all levels beginner to advanced
